At Trailhead Soap Company, we are passionate about crafting high-quality soaps that are not only gentle on your skin but also on the planet. Each bar is handmade in small batches using a traditional cold-process method that requires minimal energy, preserving the natural benefits of each ingredient. This technique results in soap that is rich in natural glycerin and free from synthetic detergents and harsh chemicals. We are committed to using premium, plant-based ingredients that are free of synthetic chemicals.

  • Organic RSPO-IP Palm Oil: RSPO Certification is also known as Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. RSPO-IP (Identity Preserved) certification is one of four certification levels offered by the RSPO and carries the highest and strongest level of sustainable guarantee with traceability of each lot of palm oil back to the field of origin. With Identify Preserved sustainable palm oil, the entire batch of palm oil is from a single identifiable certified source and kept separate from all non-certified batches.

Olive Oil

Country of Origin:  USA (California)

The extra virgin olive oil is sourced directly from California. It is a blend of olives grown across Santa Barbara County. The olives are milled directly by the supplier using a solar powered mill.

Organic Coconut Oil

Country of Origin: Philippines

This organic, kosher extra virgin coconut oil is sourced from the Philippines. This product is certified organic.

Organic Babassu Oil

Country of Origin: Brazil

The organic Babassu oil is sourced from Brazil. This is a sustainable alternative to Palm Oil. Babassu oil is extracted from fallen babassu fruit. Babassu is lighter and less greasy than coconut oil.

Fair Trade Organic Shea Butter

Country of Origin: France, Netherlands

This shea butter is fair trade certified by Fair for Life, ensuring ethical and sustainable practices across the supply chain, including fair wages, decent working conditions, and environmental protection. This certified organic product is sourced from France and the Netherlands.

Organic High Oleic Sunflower Oil

Country of Origin: Mexico

This sunflower oil is certified organic.

Organic Buena Vista Lavender Essential Oil

Country of Origin: USA (Oregon)

This essential oil is non-GMO, certified organic, and steam distilled. Buena Vista is a compact English Lavender with deep blue bi-colored flowers. This lavender has been grown and harvested in Oregon.

Willamette Valley Peppermint Essential Oil

Country of Origin: USA (Oregon)

This essential oil is non-GMO and steam distilled. This peppermint is grown and harvested in Oregon. It is sweeter and greener than peppermint supreme.

Spearmint Essential Oil

Country of Origin: USA (Oregon)

This essential oil is non-GMO and steam distilled. This spearmint is grown in Oregon. Spearmint and peppermint essential oils are from the same family, but spearmint contains much less menthol, giving spearmint a sweeter, softer mint scent.

Port Orford Cedarwood Essential Oil

Country of Origin: USA (Oregon and California)

This essential oil is non-GMO and steam distilled. Port Orford is stronger than Virginian Cedarwood and sustainable in its growth as it can withstand storms and adverse weather better. Port Orford Cedar is a conifer native to Oregon and Northern California. This oil has a sweet, woody aroma with hints of pine and fennel.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil

This essential oil is non-GMO and cold pressed. This sweet orange essential oil is a 10x version, which means it has a very strong, bright, clear scent of sweet oranges.

Lime Essential Oil

This essential oil is non-GMO and steam distilled. This lime has a strong, sweet fragrance.

Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil

Country of Origin: France

This essential oil is non-GMO and steam distilled. A top note of strong aroma, Lavender 40/42 has a fresh, herbaceous, floral scent with a woody, balsamic undertone.

Lemongrass Essential Oil

This essential oil is non-GMO and steam distilled. Lemongrass essential oil is in the lemon family, but has a much more mild, much less citrus smell. This essential oil is made from dried lemongrass plants. After distillation, the oil exudes a fresh, sweet, grassy and citrus-like aroma.

When combined with oils during saponification, it transforms into a safe, gentle soap that cleanses without harsh chemicals. None of the sodium hydroxide remains in the final product – it’s completely neutralized, leaving behind only pure soap and glycerin. We use only high-quality, food-grade sodium hydroxide to ensure the safety and purity of each bar. Its role is essential in creating soap that’s not only effective but also safe for you and the environment.

Sodium Lactate

Country of Origin: USA

Sodium lactate 60% is a food-grade liquid. It is derived from the natural fermentation of sugars found in corn and beets, sodium lactate is the sodium salt of lactic acid. Sodium lactate helps soap bars harden and last longer.

Kaolin Clay

Country of Origin: USA

Kaolin clay is a natural, white, soft clay material. Kaolin deposits appear in the soil and rock across vast regions worldwide. In the United States, kaolin is most abundant in Georgia.

Activated Charcoal

Country of Origin: USA

Activated charcoal is made from natural carbon rich sources such as wood, bamboo, peat, coconut shells, and other carbon rich sources.

French Green Clay

Country of Origin: France

French green clay is a natural mineral-rich clay formed in rock quarries located in southern France.

Red Clay

Country of Origin: Italy

This mineral-rich red clay is from Sardinia, Italy.

Rosemary Oil Extract

It is also known as Rosemary Oleoresin which is an oil-soluble antioxidant. This means it protects vulnerable oils from oxidation.
